Acid Proof Bricks
Acid Proof Bricks are the primary armor of any industrial chemical containment lining system. Manufactured from high-silica ceramic clays fired at extreme vitrification temperatures, these bricks achieve near-zero open porosity — meaning chemical media cannot penetrate the body of the brick regardless of immersion duration or concentration. Imperial World Trade supplies acid proof bricks conforming to ASTM C279, DIN 1081, and IS 4457 standards, serving pickling lines, chemical storage tanks, fertilizer reactors, effluent treatment plants, and FGD chimney stacks across more than 55 countries.
- Near-Zero Porosity: Vitrified body structure prevents acid absorption and under-brick migration, eliminating the primary cause of lining failure.
- High Chemical Resistance: Withstands prolonged exposure to sulfuric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, nitric, and most organic acids at elevated temperatures.
- High Compressive Strength: Dense ceramic matrix resists mechanical impact from process equipment, heavy coils, and abrasive slurries.
- Carbon Brick Grade: High-purity carbon bricks available for hydrofluoric acid and hot concentrated alkali environments where silica-based bricks are insufficient.
- Standard & Custom Sizes: Available in flat, channel, and curved profiles for tanks, floors, sumps, and chimney linings.
- Smooth-Flow Surface: High-density grades with refined surface finish reduce turbulence and abrasive wear in slurry-handling reactors.
Imperial World Trade’s Acid Proof Bricks are supplied with full chemical resistance data, dimensional inspection reports, and acid absorption test certificates — giving your lining contractor everything needed to specify and install with complete confidence.
