Micro Steel Fibres

Micro Steel fibre is a unique steel fibre with exceptional strength and durability. The difference between brass-coated micro steel fibre and normal steel fibre is that this fibre does not have a brass coating. The high density of steel fibres in concrete mixes makes them perfect for Ultra High-Performance Concrete. It suits structural rehabilitation, accelerated bridge construction, and other high-performance and special concrete applications such as roads and tunnels.

Shape: Micro Steel Fibres are steel needles with straight-in-shape.

Compatibility: Adding micro-steel fibre to asphalt can enhance its strength and durability. Micro Steel fibres can be incorporated with any curing compound, superplasticizer, water reducer, hardener, or coating, making them a great choice for any construction project.

Applications:

Stainless Steel Fibres are suitable for a wide range of applications across concrete and refractory structures. Key applications include:

  • UHPC: Stainless steel fibres enhance the strength, toughness, and durability of precast concrete elements and ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). They improve load-bearing capacity, crack resistance, and extend service life.
  • Tunnel Linings & Shotcrete: They provide superior reinforcement in tunnel linings and sprayed concrete (shotcrete), offering resistance against dynamic loads, spalling, and shrinkage cracks, ensuring long-term stability and safety.
  • Marine & Coastal Structures: Stainless steel fibres significantly increase corrosion resistance in harsh saline environments, making them ideal for jetties, sea walls, bridges, and offshore platforms. They help reduce maintenance and extend structural life.
  • Refractory Castables & Linings: Stainless steel fibres improve thermal shock resistance and mechanical strength in refractory linings, minimizing spalling and cracking at high temperatures. They ensure longer life for furnaces, kilns, and boilers.
  • High-Temperature Applications: With excellent heat resistance, stainless steel fibres maintain integrity in extreme thermal conditions. They are suitable for chimneys, incinerators, and other structures exposed to fluctuating high temperatures.
  • Defense & Security Structures: Used in blast-resistant and impact-resistant concrete, stainless steel fibres enhance energy absorption and crack control. This makes them ideal for bunkers, protective shelters, and sensitive infrastructure.
  • Hydraulic Structures: Stainless steel fibres improve water-tightness and durability in dams, canals, spillways, and water-retaining structures. They provide resistance against erosion, cavitation, and freeze-thaw cycles.

Benefits:

  • Increased Dynamic Load Resistance
  • Improved Compressive Strength
  • Increased Mechanic Shock Resistance
  • Improved Tensile Strength
  • Increased Freeze/Thaw Resistance
  • Reduced Bleeding
  • Reduced Cracking
  • Better strength & Enhanced durability
  • Significant cost savings
