Fireclay and High Alumina Bricks

Among all refractory materials, Fireclay and High Alumina Bricks represent the broadest application range and the widest global demand. Imperial World Trade has built its reputation on supplying these foundational products with consistent chemistry, tight dimensional tolerances, and reliable batch-to-batch uniformity. Fireclay bricks, made primarily from kaolinite-based raw materials, are the dependable workhorses of medium-heat environments. High Alumina bricks, with alumina content ranging from 40% to 90%, step in where temperatures and chemical aggression intensify. Together, these two product families cover the lining requirements of almost every industrial furnace and kiln in operation today, making them the core of our Shaped Refractory portfolio.

  • Fireclay Bricks: Ideal for boiler linings, coke ovens, flue gas ducts, and cement kiln cooling zones operating up to 1,350°C.
  • High Alumina SK-32 / SK-34: General-purpose grades for backup linings and moderate-duty furnace applications.
  • High Alumina SK-36 / SK-38: Dense, high-strength bricks for blast furnaces, rotary kilns, and ladle linings up to 1,600°C.
  • 90% Alumina / Corundum Bricks: For the most aggressive chemical and thermal environments, withstanding temperatures approaching 1,800°C.
  • Thermal Shock Resistance: Fireclay grades are specifically engineered for applications involving frequent thermal cycling.
  • Custom Sizing: Both product families are available in standard IS and international dimensions, as well as custom-cut shapes for complex furnace geometries.

Whether you are lining a small foundry furnace or a large-scale cement rotary kiln, Imperial World Trade’s Fireclay and High Alumina Bricks provide the thermal shield your operation depends on. Our quality control process — covering Cold Crushing Strength (CCS), Permanent Linear Change (PLC), and Apparent Porosity — ensures that every consignment performs exactly as specified, every time.
